Connecting Volvo to Vida, through a virtual machine, what would be the disadvantage?

Using Vida On Virtual Machine - Any Disadvantage?

I used VIDA in VirtualBox VM without any problems ~10 years ago. This said, newer Windows and VM versions might be more taxing. Recent experience running simple apps in Win10/11 VirtualBox v6/v7 VM seems to want more than my 2019 iMac with dual core / quad thread i3.
