To be frank - no. That’s crazy corrosion. Since they were bought from Volvo, I would want Volvo to pay for the analysis.
Any weird chemical exposure, like crops being sprayed with fertilizer nearby? Magnesium Chloride used on roads?
Even my son’s V70 T5, which sees a ton of regular salt during Vermont winters, has just the usual rust corrosion (sadly, because I did paint the calipers when I did the brakes).
