Default anyone seen corrosion like this on brake calipers

New Volvo front calipers put on in 2018 on my 2007 xc70. Old calipers were causing uneven pad wear.
When I replaced front pads in 2020 there was some of this corrosion starting and I contacted Volvo dealer and received no response.
Last week I replaced pads again and this is how they look.
I sent pictures to dealer from which I bought them-not local, and to Volvo NA. No response from dealer and Volvo NA said to have local dealer inspect them. Local dealer wants $125 to inspect. I can just give them pictures for all the chemical analysis possible at a dealer.
I asked Volvo NA for a charge code to pay the inspection. Who knows?

To be frank - no. That’s crazy corrosion. Since they were bought from Volvo, I would want Volvo to pay for the analysis.

Any weird chemical exposure, like crops being sprayed with fertilizer nearby? Magnesium Chloride used on roads?

Even my son’s V70 T5, which sees a ton of regular salt during Vermont winters, has just the usual rust corrosion (sadly, because I did paint the calipers when I did the brakes).

Is that actually corrosion or just deposition of crap on the calipers?
