Having a hell of a time with shock install on my 06. Removed all without issue but did not anticipate rebound with control arm so consequently with new setup can't get enough room to put lower bolt on even with trying to slide upper mount in as far as i can. Putting jack on area with bump stop is fine but where does top rest.......looks like an accident waiting to happen. Other side will get a big ass 4x4 .40cca so i don't have an issue....someone send a picture..please!

I put the piston of the jack on the edge of the bracket. There was just enough purchase to do the job. I think on the other side, I may have used one of the bolt heads. Yeah, a little sketchy like you say, but good enough. Once under tension, the jack is held in place pretty good. A member at another forum showed that he extended the bottle jack and was able to use the actual upper bump stop contact point. It works. I've also seen it said you can use the factory scissor jack between the frame and control arm.
