Default bump stop - replace or don't-worry-about-it ?

One of my vehicle's bump stops fell off (after being flat bed towed for a throttle issue). Should I replace it, Or not worry about it? Any safety issue? Any better to replace to maintain car another 5 years or more, 70,000 miles (car at about 140k).
Thanks (I made this a stand-alone new titled thread since this issue was embedded in my other recent post where focus was on throttle)

Replace it. Just did my wife’s car, they had rotted away. Missing bump stop and rotting bump stop shown.

It takes just a couple minutes if the rear wheel is off. $9 each on IPD.

It would depend on the condition of your shocks. Under normal driving, the shock absorbers prevent the bump stop from ever making contact. However, if the shock absorber begins to leak, the bump stop is there to defend critical clearances. If it is a rear bump stop that fell off, you'll have to be careful about the weight you load in the cargo area. The rears are easy to replace (see Astro14).
