Default help swapping driver and passenger seat bottoms

Dear Forum, My 2007 XC70 (150K) has developed a small rip in the front seat bottom just above and to the rear of the seat position controls. I am considering swapping my drivers side and my passenger side seat bottoms. The rip would no longer be visible and it would give a chance for the bolsters to wear evenly. Is this even possible and have any of you ever done it? I would be leaving all the mechanicals untouched, only swapping the seat bottom units (vinyl, foam, springs, etc.). Please advise. Thanks.

The two butt-seats can be swapped. You will need to bring complete seats to a working bench. It takes attention to detail, patience and time, which I find in short supplies these days.

    It can be done!

Thanks very much. I'm not sure I want to take the time but I think it would keep my interior looking good.
