Default Bull bar - mounting points options...?

    Cheers all!

Does anyone has a picture or the details on the brackets and/or mounting points for a bull bar for our XC70's? After of nearly a week of looking through all the threads between here and swedespeed, I found few threads but no visible images.

I do have a spare bull bar that I've never got around installing on my old WJ, and from the research online, the actual bull bars are generally universal, it is the mounting brackets are unique to the car. I can certainly have these brackets fabricated, I just need to have and idea/starting point.

Any visual pointers are greatly appreciated!

I've not mounted a bull bar on this, or any other, car, including my trucks.

If you're looking to mount it to the frame, then remove the bumper cover, and you'll see the aluminum crossbar as well as the steel frame members.

In this thread, when you look at my cooler mounting photos, you can see a bit of the frame of the car: https://www.volvoxc.com/forums/showt...sh-From-Bottom

    Hope that helps...

Actually yes, it does help a great deal! I can see plenty of useful surfaces on the frame one can use! Particularly helpful this photo https://www.volvoxc.com/forums/attac...9&d=1432145829 Nice work on the plumbing! And at first, I was going to ask... Looking at the polished wheels of the other car... S600? But now I see you signature - well, yes it is! Great car!

This weekend going to stop by the local pick-a-part, need few little pieces, going to look in person at these possible mounting points. Huge thanks for the photos, definitely helps!

P.S. Always had all of my cars lowered slightly with Bilstein/H&R, but this XC will be lifted a little... First for me!

Thank you very much. Good looking short bar (and I have similar unit as a spare). The one I have I do want to use however is a full size. Similar to this one

So the lower portion I would have to mount directly to the frame.

I would likely have to do something along the lines of what these guys did to the VW wagon https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J4UtkQ1bBLo
