Hello all,
Background: 2005 XC70, 126K miles.
I've been experience some coolant leakage occasionally. I've replaced my radiator, the hose running out of the radiator (lower right when looking at the care head on), the coolant tank and the lines running out of it. This was all preventative maintenance to correct a much worse leak previously.
After all that, everything seemed to work fine, but *occasionally* I'll have a bit of coolant on the driveway. Upon inspection I can see a bit of coolant on the turbo itself. Not much, but clearly enough to drip over time. It looks like the leak is coming from the coolant line itself feeding into the turbo where the banjo bolts are. This means that I top off the expansion tank about once every two weeks or so. I can go days with no leak at all, but just when I think everything is fine the next morning there will be a small amount on the driveway.
With that out of the way a couple of questions:
1. If I replace the washers and banjo bolts what are the odds that will stop the leak?
2. Would it make sense to replace the lines that the banjo bolts connect with? If so, where in the world can I find them? I've searched IPDUSA as well as FCPEuro and I cannot for the life of me find them or the banjo bolts themselves. Anybody have part numbers or links for these?
