    Default Center exhaust flange

I'm reinstalling the exhaust of my '02 after changing out the final drive. When reconnecting the the front muffler to the cat VIDA suggests using copper sealant. Does anybody have any experience with this? How should I use the copper RTV? Thanks.

RTV wont last long on a hot exhaust system, maybe they meant copper anti seeze?

Copper RTV is rated to 700F and is designed to seal exhaust systems, but I'm not sure this is what VIDA meant. Mysteriously all it says is, "Always use copper paste 116408 where indicated in the method". Looks like they are talking about a "copper bolt paste" which is presumably supposed to go on the bolts?? Anyway, think this was the first time this flange was disassembled so had to cut the bolts off and hammer the studs out. Flanges were in pretty poor shape so used the copper RTV on both flanges along with the gasket Skipped the bolt paste...

Bolts copper lubrication it is. The flange MAY need some exhaust cement to seal it properly.
