Hello
i recently bought an '05 V8 that was in the shop at the time having its counterbalance bearings and timing chain replaced but the mechanic doing the work died before it was completed.
His shop hand put the engine back together but failed to land the ground strap that lands on the right strut tower
back where it was supposed to go. He had it landed on the valve cover which i knew was wrong based on pictures of the engine but i don't know where it's actually supposed to land. What i do know is that depending on where it does land, i get misfire codes for varying cylinders (it isn't actually misfiring, though).
Can anyone help me with this?
EDIT
Solved - it lands on the counterbalance shaft cover
