hand break woes

hi 2008 model, handbrake service needed. Handbrake not working, but it is off, and parking assit service needed...where to start? Is it a common thing? TIA

Hi,

Handbrake is electronic .
I would start with diagnostic computer to see if the car is communicating with the park brake module.

If it is, see if it will go into service mode (that you use to change the pads)
You will probably need to find someone with the correct diagnostic tool.

Same issue, also stops cruise control.

Was the cause of the issue found?
