    Default Grille Removal

Been wanting to attach my grill badge, but have been unable to figure out how to remove the grille. Anyone had any experience doing this?

Barry, I noticed you have a badge on your grille, how is it attatched?

    birddog,

This thread provides some detailed instructions on how to remove the the front grill/bumper cladding. It's a bit tricky, but there is a way to circumvent the removal procedure for the cladding and separate the grill on its own. Those instructions are contained in member Willy's post in the same link. Happy to pass some pics on to you if you wish.

    Default Here's an easier route!!!

Here's an English translated version of Japanese XCers step by step bumper removal for the Grill Badge installation.

Yep -- I wanted to remove the grill and a forum member (baz197 I believe) said it was a 5 min job but would never reveal the secret to us for some unknown reason.

As it turned out it was a simple matter of sliding the bolts with the T-bars on them thru the grill opening and then gently pulling on the badge to hold the T-bars against the backside of the grill while slowly tightening up the bolts. This took all of 5 mins to perform. I never did have the need to remove the grill using this method.

    Default Thanks all!

.....managed to get it on in a matter of about 10 minutes. It was fairly easy just needed to put longer bolts onto the badge itself. , such an easy solution i'm almost embarassed! Thanks for all the tips from everyone though! I've printed off the other info and am keeping it on hand should anything ever come up that I should need it.

    Thumbs up It's sooo easy

Sorry for missing this post(s) whenever they were posted.

To start with the grill is so easy to remove, pop the pins along the top, remove them and ease it out from the catches on the bottom. I will have to do it again and take some pictures.

Secondly the rad is not located at the front of the car but at the front of the engine. From what I was told there are three rads in there the first one (being closest to the front of the car) is for the A/C unit, don't know what the middle one is for and the car rad is the one closest to the engine.

    Hope this helps

I've mounted a British Flag badge on the grille. My grandfather always had them on his cars and I've always been proud of my English heritage.

By all means, would you have the VADIS description on how to remove the moonroof? Mine is rattling as crazy and my dealer ask me CAD$1500 to replace the rails...
