How does fdc spread the load

Forum members have posted that Mondays and Fridays at the FDC are the worst wrt to popularity for pickups/dropoffs. Given that one forum poster reported 300 OSDers arriving between now and end of March and that we are free to select our FDC delivery date how does FDC staff avoid a big rush in one particular day? For example, what if some 50 people all decide on the same pickup date?

FDC haven't asked me to change my pickup delivery date -- should I expect them to change it and if so how would changes to the airplane reservations be handled?

FYI--

FDC has informed me that Mondays and Fridays ARE the most popular days.

If one wants to alter the delivery date as stated on the OSD order form then one should contact one's dealer and see if it is possible to change the Date of Delivery.

You can't answer your own question     Unless no one is listening....  

Anyway-  The FDC staff is fully aware and is scheduling for the rush.  The are "ready for it" - direct quote and do not think there will be any issues or unexpected delays so long as you KEEP your scheduled appointment date and time.  

As for air, so long as the tickets have not been issued, you can change.  If the tickets have been issued, they can only be changed on YOUR DIME!  Same for the hotel issues- if you change it, you pay.  If Volvo has to change for some unseen reason, then I am sure that they will be quite accomadating.  The idea though is that there are not more deliveries scheduled than they can handle.  I am sure that they plan for times like this.  

Is it any surprise with the deals they offered that people did not take them up on it?  300 over 50 days is really not that many....  that being said, if you spend the whole day asking questions and memorizing the layout of the FDC center and factory tour, they are liable to get a little behind.

Yes -- I&#39;m hoping Alexandra (and have requested) will schedule me for an 8:30am delivery on Friday morning &nbsp; &nbsp;I&#39;m sure it&#39;s going to be a fun day like no other I&#39;ve experienced when picking up a new car &nbsp;I wonder if the FDC test track has a skip pad feature &nbsp;
