The day I've been waiting for ( it seems like years ) has finally come. I'll be flying out of Chicago tonight and picking up my car thursday. I just wanted to say thanks to everyone on this message board -- without all of your help and insight I think I would have been going into the process "blindly". When I get back I'll be sure to post as many pics/videos as possible (I think I might make a web page). I'll post again at the FDC if I get a chance. Thanks again!

Have a great trip and take lots of pictures. I wish I were going again, this should be a great time to be in Sweden.
Enjoy!

Good luck, and do post lots of pictures! Since it'll probably be quite a while before I get to do the OSD thing again, for now I have to live vicariously through the adventures of others...

Good luck and have a great OSD/FDC/Swedish experience. Be sure to report back after you return. Look forward to seeing any pics you take as well.

Hello all,

Well I'm finally at the FDC waiting for my car....We missed the factory tour due to a little mix-up, but that's not such a big deal. Gothenborg was a very interesting city, but I think Stockholm will be even better (going there today). So far this has been great! (apart from the factory tour thing). I think I'm going to order some accessories too because of the great advantage.

sorry to hear the factory tour didn't happen, maybe they let you do it at drop off ?

wondering if you could share some advice to those of us that have not gone yet? how can we help ensure there isn't a mix-up, and we get to go on the tour ?

thanks!

No sure what the tour appointment problem was. However, when I was at FDC in March this year the FDC staff were very insistent that I be at the FDC counter at a particular time in order to be taken to the start of the factory tour. FDC has to transport you from FDC to the Factory tour start point and to make sure you get there in time. If you dally to much over the Swedish meatballs (ie the free lunch) across the way from FDC it would be easy to lose track of time and miss the tour. I know people have fallen into this trap -- so be aware of this time factor.

Also, I'm sure if you plan ahead you could take tour after FDC drop-off.
