my XC70 should arrive on Volvo's Swift truck at my dealership. The long awaited telephone call will bring music to my ears

Let's see now -- I ordered the car on Dec 10th 2002 and if it arrives May 21st 2003 that will be 163 days. Geeesh, it's never taken me this long to get my car before. It's true that I could have shaved as many as 60 days off this number but then it would have been a real rush

Good Luck Barry!  Has your dealer actually been able to track the progress of the truck?  I have seen somewhere on this site that some people think the truck can be tracked as well as the ship.

Awesome...Do the dealers "turn them around" directly to you on the same day? Or do they re-prep (clean) the car first, etc....? Tell us about the experience....and post a few "pictures"!!
Where will you be headed on your "first U.S. soil drive"? (Sounds like a topic thread?)
You're picking up here...I'm about to go there...leave sat the 24th..pick up monday the 26th......driving "cross-country" (no pun intended) Gothenburg to Stockholm on a southern route.

Nope -- I asked my sales person very nicely if he would enter my VIN into his dealership computer network to find out where it was at. He laughed and said they don't tell us that info -- you know more than we do

 I didn't go any further with this discussion and laughed along with him.

However, Becky at the Port told me the dealerships can track the truck if they want to -- so who's right ? No matter my car must be within just a few miles of Seattle this night

I'm also sending you good luck wishes on the S60R you've been talking about.  I'm despirately jealous and hope that you are able to get the flash green and post tons of pics and info about driving it.  Hopefully you won't have to wait as long as you did for your XC.

 It cost me 90 mile round trip in heavy traffic to get those pics and worst of it was my camera batteries went dead just as I got to the engine bay. Those pics were hard earned so take care with them please.

The process is real quick.... in and out.  Fill up the tank, wash it, remove the TDS flag in the window... go over the checklist in the TDS Entry and US warranty packet on the seat.

I looked at them almost immediately via your swedespeed link. Great pics

 Oh how I wish I could talk my wife into a v70r with flash & atacama.  Oh well, maybe I ought to start playing the lottery.
