    Default Oil pump cracked?

I have an 07' xc70 2.5 turbo with 105,000 miles.I have a leak that leaves a pop can size oil leak under the crank pully are every time i move it. i knew about the leak when i bought it back i nFebuary. It has been on the back burner since. Today i removed the timing coverto inspect where the leak was from. thinking it might be the cam seals. the cams look almost dry. I noticed a large amount by the lower crank area. replacing the timing belttensioner and idler anyway, i removed the lower crank pulley and gear. to my suprise the crank seal was dry but the oil pump was wetreal wet. it must have been leaking awhile because the motor mount is soft and soaked. I pulled the pumpto replace the seal gasket and o ring.after cleaning it up it looks like there may be a crack or two, or it could just be a casting line?
i have pictures but will have to load them later tonight. anybody have any input on this?

sorry about grammar! typing from phone.

I took a look at some online stores pictures of oil pumps and they seem to have the same casting marks. We will see what happens.

Don't have info/exp. with the oil pump. When my front intake cam seal blew, the oil ran behind the plastic TB housing, collected at the crank pulley area, and dripped to the ground. But I lost all my oil at once (in about 5 min.) where you're only leaking a small amount, so it may be harder to find the source of your leak. I guess you could clean the area up really well, start the engine, and see if you notice any drips. (Be careful around the car with the engine running!)
My leak was caused by a fouled up PCV system with 120k miles on the engine. What shape is your PCV system in? At 105k, maybe you're getting an early warning sign? IMHO, the PCV on these cars should be replaced as standard maintenance somewhere around 100k. Otherwise, you run the risk of massive oil loss while you're on the road (my experience).

Clean it up. Reinstall with a new pump gasket and crank seal. Looks OK to me, those look like casting marks...

You might be right though! I've checked a few images of the oil pump for your car with part number 30650144:

I couldn't find the mark on your 1st image on any of those images from the above links. Maybe get a 2nd hand one and replace the gasket + oring + crank seal.
If you do front cam seals, you should also do the rear one. Mine leaked at the rear exhaust cam (as well as the front intake) and it must had leaked for a long time before I replaced it. Remember that you need the cam locking tool for the bloody front VVT hub T55s.
