I need to replace my ABS module in my 2005 XC90 T5 FWD.
Are ABS Modules same for T6, V8 and AWD?
I do have DICE.
Thanks

If you are thinking about putting a used part in - ABS modules are coded to the VIN of your car, you can't just put a used one in and expect it to work.
A company such as xemodex might be able to recode a used part for you. There is no Volvo procedure to be able to do that. A new ABS module requires a software download to make it work. If you have a standalone copy of Vida - you can't do a software download with a hacked copy of Vida to code a new ABS module - that requires an account with Volvo and an online subscription to Vida.
(Vida is the software, Dice is the interface that plugs between a computer and the car)
I am in luck and got it fixed. DICE/VIDA was big help. I just replaced the ABS motor only and all is well. Paid $10 at local pic-a-part.
Regardless, good to know that ABS modules are coded to VIN.
Thanks!
