2007 XC70 trailer wiring

Hi,
I got before a 2003 XC70.I bought a trailer hitch and the volvo converter 8698079.
Now I bought a 2007 XC70 and I thought that wiring harness would also plug in.But I can,t find the connector.So, is there no factory connection for a trailer hitch for the 2007 xc70?
Aftermarket seems a lot ofwork.

Volvo changed the hitch wiring starting in 2005. You can pick it up from Volvo or online but you need to make sure it's for 2005-2007 as it's a different connector. I do believe the plug is in the spare tire well or the left side panel. ALSO - this is a big one, you need to get the module activated - VIDA/DICE can do it, or your local Volvo shop. I know it's a FPITA, but it is what it is. 2001-2004 they came already activated.

I don't - and you need to ensure the end connector is the correct one for your trailer. The one Volvo had for my 04 was different - it was European.

In my 2006 V70, I have the OEM parts and these are the numbers I have;

Harness: 30664660
Trailer Module: 30664652 (and it also says 12245629 - not sure what that number is)


Wonderful piece of kit that OEM hitch and wiring is. Giant, sturdy thing with a 2" receiver. I am very glad I didn't go aftermarket on this.
