    Default Steering Squeeking

    Hey Guys,

I have a 2004 XC70 with 178k miles, and recently it has gained a small squeeking coming from the steering when i am on my way to fully left turn and when i turn the steering wheel back to neutral. i think it could be the steering boots, but i am not totally sure. i was under the car last night and the steering boots are intact. what do you guys think it could be before i rip the steering apart?

Check the gasket for the steering shaft on your driver's side floor. Make certain it's not loose, and perhaps give a shot of silicone spray...
