Default Overland to Morocco. Winter 2015-2016

    Overland to Morocco.
    Winter 2015-2016

    Preview

As this is not our first time overland to Morocco, then maybe when we get there we will pluck up the courage this time to do that ride on a Camel!

Meanwhile as we will be going through a few countries in Europe here are the flags of those for our way Out & Return….

While from a program called Tyre, that uses Google Maps here is the route we will be taking firstly to get to Morocco, which to be honest is virtually the same as our previous trip, except for a small diversion that we will be making to what seems to be an interesting city…

Then after we get across the Mediterranean Sea is our route in Morocco that again was provided by Tyre, while we do have a few new places to spend some time in and have a look around this time!

After that we come back across the Mediterranean Sea for the route back up to the UK which includes a diversion to hopefully an interesting place in Spain and a small diversion into Portugal…

So now all that remains to be said as we make sure all the things we need are packed including the 10Kg of Porridge!

There is nothing like a breakfast that is definitely ‘Central Heating for Seniors’ especially when there is ice outside, and possibly inside on the ‘Tin Tent’ windows while the temperature is very low in the morning in Europe!…..

    Then finally…..

A warm ‘Welcome’ to previous and new ‘Travellers in the Third Seat’ which we hope you will find comfortable in ‘Flamenco Red’ (That’s the Swedish ‘Tug’) and enjoy the tour as we haul the ‘Tin Tent’ (That’s the Caravan) across Europe and South to maybe find that Camel for a ride!

Next Stop is Eurotunnel and France, so let’s hope the road is clear, while the weather forecast is of cold weather and the chance of Snow!…..

who needs porridge? .... don't forget the mince pies and christmas pudding(s) and brandy sauce. You'll have to take your own chocolate this time! :-)

Looking forward to the trip. Hopefully you get good weather all the way through.

Looks like you have put in a few more side trips this year.

I think if we are lucky we may get a bit of space in the back seat. More likely we get to cuddle with the slow cooker in the back.

    Now now Guys!

While there is NO room with the Slow Cooker, you really have to behave yourselves in the Third Seat, otherwise you will be outside on top in the elements and having now completed France, the weather was not nice at all as you will see after I get the update on later!

Being without Internet Access over the last 4 days has meant a bit of catching up on my part, so I am in for a busy evening!

    Overland to Morocco.
    Winter 2015-2016

    UK to France

On a nice sunny but freezing cold morning we are finally on our way to Eurotunnel and France!

Down the lanes to join the Motorway then across a little bit of Wales and through England….

As we then get through Eurotunnel ‘Check in’ and into the car park to wait for the train…

While inside the Terminal there is a heightened presence of security as we see armed Police as well as other Police Officers which is re-assuring with all the ongoing problems, but it doesn’t stop the Christmas Decorations shining nicely….

As we get onto the Train after passing through Customs & Immigration Control it’s not very long and we are moving out of the terminal, while there is a ‘problem’ with the middle section of the doors that seal off the carriage as our section will not come down out of the roof (Red ‘Arrow’ and ‘Ring’ on picture below)….

Eventually the man looking after our carriage gets out his Winding Handle and takes the section completely up into the roof and we continue on our way with just one side closed for the journey….

Getting off the other side and straight out of the Terminal and on the road to Montreuil for our first night in France while it was too dark for any further pictures.

Next Stop tomorrow is that nice little town in France called Bonneval and hopefully they might have their Christmas decorations out…..
