Default value of 2001 XC70, 120K miles; very good condition

I've been driving a year 2001 XC70 color ice blue with now 120,000 miles on it (so ~8,000 miles per year) in very good condition.
It may be time to consider selling - what can I get for it (let me first hear from this forum community rather than the blue books)??
Or should I hold on to it???
    Thank you in advance.

Blue book on the car is going to be distressingly low: like $2,500...you might find a Volvo nut willing to pay you more, like $3,500 if you've got all the records, but Volvo nuts, while common on this forum, are somewhat rare in the real world.

For me, if it's running well, it's worth keeping. No way you can find a decent car for that price...you can buy one for that price, but you'll end up with a couple grand in repairs getting it sorted out.

    Keep it.

I agree with Astro, I'd keep it if you don't have a space problem. I wanted to keep my 1999 V70 but I can only park in the streets as I live downtown and I had to let it go...

I can only talk about Quebec and here those cars go between $1000 and $2000. This might sound ridiculously cheap but winters here are harsh so some cars may be warn down quite a bit.

West coast cars generally have a bit of a premium attached due to low rust etc. Astro's recommendation is spot on, especially if you're happy with the transmission. Did you get the timing belt etc. done already? Timing belt and suspension rebuild are pretty much due - but not if you have any doubts at all about the famously fragile 2001 trans.

I think I'm ok with those listed issues.
The past couple years fixed an oil leak (just a leaky washer or gasket), coolant leak 1 (radiator), coolant leak 2 (heat core), front lock latch. So I was getting fatigued of these type of repairs.
    Thanks.

    $2995 RETAIL.
Nothing worth shouting about. If you have room, keep it around for that extra car when needed or you need to carry around a lot of stuff
