    Default Anti Skid Service Required......No Codes

    Volvo Newbie here.. 2004 XC90 giving me Anti Skid Service Required Warning.

    There are no codes given when checked.

    Ive seen many varied posts on this with many varied courses of action.

    Where should I start? Is there a post Im missing that can get me started ?

    I do all my own work, I just need to know where to start...

    Hey! I've had this problem a few times...no worry- easy 5 min fix, seriously. Normally your skid sensor is just not calibrated or you did some wheel spinning fun on ice or on dirt road causing the sensor to default to this state. Go into your trunk and take the foam/carpet panel out of the left side; you'll have to remove or lift up your spare tire cover thingy. You'll find a rear fuse box...can't recall which fuse is blown...that is your problem (99 % of the time); I think it's a 10amp fuse. Just pull a each one out and inspect for blown fuse and replace with spare. It should be your ABS fuse (look it up in your manual what slot # it is in. Seriously that easy. I've heard lots of people say Volvo hosed them for $$$$$ to fix.....enjoy!
