Windshield Wipers not working

the wipers just stopped worked. I can hear the motor but they aren't moving. I can move them manually with ease. Any thoughts for a newbie?

try tightening the screws?

Right, at the base of the wiper arm (the pivot point) there should be a cap that will flip up and that should expose a nut. See if the nut is loose and tighten it

They were tight. Still not catching.
