Default Using XC90 T6 PCV hose instead of 30731068

    Hi guys,

I have been searching the forums for hours trying to find reference to where JRL has mentioned in the past that the main expensive PCV hose from the 1st gen T6 XC90 motor can be used in place the proper 30731068 part number for the T5 motors; alas I cannot find it! I am doing a full PCV job on my Friends S60R and am desperately trying to find which part number and what is involved in making the cheaper part substitute work; can anyone help me with this please?

Also, is the elbow(part number 30677388) really necessary, it seems like a very beefy part and quite expensive and also appears to be very easy to clean; is this possibly one of the few components that should be ok to reuse?

    Thanks a lot!
    Jesse

I'll get you the P/N today.
It's much smaller than the tube, it's only the lower portion that needs changing.
You splice this into the existing large pipe

    30731007 is the PN

It should be obvious how this mates with the existing pipe when you see them together.
It also takes a little bit of talent but you don't need to be a rocket scientist to do this!
I do this on my own cars and it does work just fine (and buy the elbow)

Groovy, so I only need one of those to make the existing pipe work then?

    Thanks,

Nope, that's on the other end of the hose.
