I have been having TPMS messages. Last summer it would come on and go off after a few days and got worse over time. I have checked the tire pressure and they are all at 37psi. Now it just stays on all the time. Is it a sensor or the system? If its a sensor, is there a way to tell which one? Can I just disable it?

First make sure your gauge is accurate - mine indicated 3 psi too high compared to a new snap on digital gauge. 99.99% of low tire pressure lights on cars at my shop have been caused by -------------------- Low tire Pressure

Volvo lists a special TPMS tool somewhere in VIDA to be able to determine which sensor is bad. Can't find the part number again (or service procedure) but when I was curious (and had found the part number) and called a few weeks ago it was a ~$1600 tool!

And No, you cannot disable one
