    Default Volvo S60 Cross Country

At first blush this seems like an odd development, but Volvo has just announced the S60 Cross Country.

    More details here:

Not sure if this vehicle will warrant its own forum just yet, so have just posted it here

Similar with the XC version of the V60. Limited run indeed.

I'm beginning to wonder who these new Volvo's are meant to fit? I don't fit well in the back seat of the XC90 or XC60 - S80 yes. But the S60 and the new XC70 - gebus you gotta be 5'5" and under to sit comfortably back there.

The concept of a "lifted" AWD sedan is really odd to me... It's like taking the worst attributes of a sedan and an SUV and mixing them together to give you a car that corners poorly AND has no space!

Totally, but I've always preferred the wagon variant.

IMO, if you're getting a lifted 4x4/AWD vehicle, that means you're probably going to be using it to get somewhere outdoors and with that comes the need for space, whether it's skis, camping gear, bikes etc... Hence why the wagon makes far more sense. Again... IMO

Apparently there is some desire for this type vehicle. Honda has Crosstour, Acura has the whatchamacallit, and BMW has high ride height hatchbacks in 3 flavors.
