Default How Often to reset Computer?

Thanks to you guys I was able to fix a few problems by resetting the computer. Every time I do I am amazed at how much better my car runs and performs. How often can/should/do you guys reset yours?

    hmm... not once, intentionally.

battery was disconnected twice over car's life - once for battery replacement (just for a few mins), and once for regulator replacement (that turned into a multi-day affair). Did not notice any difference in how anything in the car performed...

That reminds me, I probably should get a new battery. The one I am on is living through its 7th winter.

I still am on my original battery from 11/2003 when we purchased.... I add distilled water each year... I know I am on borrowed time but it still starts perfect even outside in winter cold....

I have a OE battery, unsure of it's age but I'd assume it's the original, doesn't give me any problems. Is there a date code these somewhere?

To tv33 on resting the computer, what are you noticing and for how long? You really should demand full load from the engine right after a reset until it has adapted.

Your battery is probably sealed anyway. You can't add any distilled water even if you wanted to.

    05, 10 years old!
Better change it, they can fail without warning and when they do it can drive the entire CAN BUS system nuts!
I'm getting a new one (for my 06) next week. It's been doing a bit of hard cranking at under freezing in the mornings (only once a day so far) and that's a sign that it's not long for this world
