    Now for the Monterey area.

Next day for lunch our favourite seafood place.

Heading to Moss landing for Phils Fish Market and Eatery and what is now my yearly dose of Cioppino.

If you look over the persons shoulder you will see part of the clean up crew. Very clever little bird. It would hold still until I brought my camera up to take a picture and then it would go. This was the best that could get with the bird in the picture. I did a lot of where the bird used to be.

Most of the runaway ramps I have seen are graveled like yours but they try to make them go up hill. What I get a kick out of seeing on some ramps are no parking signs to try and stop people from parking in front of them. Makes you wonder about people.
I think when some people drive they only see themselves on the road all other vehicles do not exist like the signs that they pass by, then again some others seem to have something called 'mush' between their ears and cannot comprehend what things mean!

Sadly we see it all the time in the amount of travelling we do and it beats me how some people passed their driving test or maybe they 'Phoned a Friend' who took it for them!

Looks like you just came into 'Vegetarian Country'

P.s. Can you ship us some Brussels Sprouts over as we cannot find them over here and we would like some for Christmas to go with the Turkey!
    Thanks!

OH! You are one of those people....the ones that like Brussels Sprouts. If I could you would get them all.

I guess the bad drivers are world wide. Sadly there are so many of them.

So now more pictures. These are from Cannery Row in Monterey.

We will have a look in Agadir today for some Brussels Sprouts as we are off on a 'Look see' around the city and being a much bigger place we might just get lucky as we could be here for Christmas the way things are going!

Cannery Row & Fisherman's Wharf pictures bring back some nice memories with a faint taste of Clam Chowder! Yummy, when you get a good one!

Next morning we had a bit of rain to send us off back home. We didn't mind as it was not a lot and we quickly ran out of it. Although I am sure that the locals loved it as they are suffering from a drought.

Interesting seeing the 'Campers' at the back of the Barn along with the 'Caravan' sign on the highway, while I though the road in the opposite direction had disappeared at one point but I guess it had been 'split' around the hill.

You will see a lot of campers, RV's and the like in rural areas. I always assume they are storing them for themselves and or friends. A lot of the campers for trucks that I see seem old enough to there for good. RIP (Rotting In Place)

The "Caravan" sign I seem to have missed...which picture did you see it in?

Heading out the next morning it is cooler and there are a lot of low clouds in the hills.

The 'Caravan sign' on the roadside was in Picture DSCF2734 just as you were approaching the South & Central Weed road sign.

The colour of those trees at the hotel as the sun came up looked really nice DSCF2776.

The 'mist' in the other pictures was because you rolled out of bed to early to hit the road!

We got it in places as we went through France and Spain but by 10:00 thankfully it had burnt off with the Sun as some drivers were happily travelling with no lights showing on their vehicles so clearly what was between their ears was still half asleep and they were not hanging about as quite a few came past us like a bat out of hell!

Was that a Hydro Electric Dam you also passed with one gate open for overflow?

Delay in posting due to having to play with the car. Earlier in the week my drivers door window switch stopped working. Got the time to hook up the DICE to the car and got a LIN BUS code for the DDM (Drivers Door Module). So now I get to spend some quality time trying to figure out if it is the DDM or something else. Before that though this.

Caravan sign---I was looking through the pictures for a written word sign not the symbol sign.

The trees by the hotel were a great colour. We don't have any trees that give that colour here. They were very nicely enhanced by the sunset.
The mist is normally in my head when I wake up to early. Goes away with coffee.

    The Dam

There are a few Dams on the Columbia River. They are all Hydro Electric. I have gotten shots of them the other years I have traveled down the river. This heading up the river and it was easier to get this picture. Interesting feature on the Dams is fish spawning ramp to the left of the spill ways.

Next morning heading east to get to the road north. Bit of interesting weather as we head out.

We have a tree on this side of the 'Pond' called an Acer which has leaves similar in shape to the Canadian Maple Leaf while in Autumn the leaves turn a brilliant reddish brown colour very similar to the ones at the hotel.

    Dam.
A number of dams of the Hydro Electric type over here, especially in Scotland have the 'Fish Ladder' while some of then have windows fitted where you can go and watch the fish making there way back upstream. Mainly it is Salmon going upstream to spawn.

Hope you resolved the issue with the window on the car as the temperature has now dropped considerably over there!

I think those 'lines' in the sky are vapour trails from aircraft engines flying over, we get them a few times over our house from Transatlantic flights going over to Heathrow & Gatwick, and it's easy to make out the 4 or 2 engined type before the trails come together as they spread out.

    Old Cars!

Over here in Morocco they are still using 40 or 50 year old Mercedes as Taxi's and they stick 7 People in them! 4 in the back and 3 in the front!
No seat belts and no airbags, while they drive like a bat out of hell!!
