Default T10 W5W License plate lamp socket?

Noticed I had one burned out license plate light bulb on my 2004 XC70. Undid the torx screw, pulled down the bulb housing, twisted the socket, sure enough the bulb was burned out. But one ear on the twist lock bulb socket was broken off, and as soon as I put the replacement bulb in the second ear broke off. It was clear the plastic of the socket was heat fried. And that socket was Hella, made in Finland, not some chicom thing, so I'm surprised the OEM plastic was crap.

Anyway, I see lots of chicom suppliers for twist-lock T10 wedge bulb sockets on ebay, but I was wondering if anyone had a source for better quality sockets besides the dealer.

Chicom socket just might serve you better than the OEM. I don't know if it gotten any better in later years, but on my car many of the european-made plastic parts pulverize upon touch. Sometimes it seems that the biodegradable forks from Whole Foods are more durable than most of the plastic Volvo parts.
