Left & right brake lamps not working, the error message says check stop lamp. Fuse 3 (15 amp) in the REM is good, but there is no voltage to the fuse socket. I checked the archives here as well as the owner's manual, checked all 3 electrical modules, I can't tell where 12 volts comes from which feeds fuse 3 in the REM.
The relay for brake lamps in the REM is clicking when the brake pedal is pressed and released. There is only 1 large relay instead of 2. I read about a recall at one point for 01-02 models so I guess my car was supposed to have had the relay replaced under a recall? I've only owned it for less than a year.
I don't have a schematic. Can someone tell me where 12V comes from that feeds fuse 3 in the REM for the stop lamps?
I have pulled the break lamps and replaced the one that had blackened glass on the driver's side (US) of the car. The sockets look fine, no signs of arcing or connection problems between the lamp sockets and the bulb housings. If anything it just looks like the driver's side lamp may have blown.
Thanks,
Tom
