Poor FM reception

I recently bought a 2006 XC90, and the poor reception on the radio is really annoying me. Does anyone know of any ways to improve the reception of the radio. I know the system is fiber optic, but is there any way to use an ordinary FM antenna? Or are any of the components in the antenna system known to fail? I've searched but have come up with nothing. I am amazed that in the 21st century we still have trouble receiving FM signals. Any help is appreciated.

I own an XC 90 since last december, excellent car but the FM radio does not work well, poor reception, the CD is fine.

I suspect an antenna pb or antenna amplifier ( yes there is one , at least in Europe) how did you solved your pb?
