Default Has anyone removed/replace the turbo on a 04 XC70?

I would like to remove mine as there seems to be a lot of oil dripping down. IT is not a big leak but I would like to clean and assess it on how bad the leak is. Any write ups available?

    thanks!

This was my situation below the turbo. I cleaned it.

It looks just like mine! How did you clean it without removing? I think it might need seals replaced... so I would like to inspect it first. Is this possible?

    Thanks!

There are three scenarios for this leak to appear, Howard's Volvo Maintenance discusses this leak.

My situation was cleaning of PTC nipple at the other end of the air-intake tube where it connects to the turbo. It requires patience, and can be done without breaking anything else. 3-4 hour job.

This photo shows the travel of leaking fluid.
