Default OK ... so I finally got an XC60 3.0T ... Fuel consumption question

I have owned (and still do own) a 2002 XC70 since new, and I have been quite active on the 2001-2007 XC70 forum on this site. However, on reaching 11 years on my XC70 on 1/31/2013, for a multitude of reasons I had decided to "upgrade" to a newer model Volvo SUV. After looking at the 2007+ model XC70, XC90 and XC60 I finally settled on an exceptionally clean, still under warranty and maintenance plan MY10 (Nov. 2009 registration) XC60 3.0T, with about 41.500 miles on the clock.

Now those folks who follow the XC70 forums (but it's declared in my signature anyway) would have noticed that some 3 years ago I had installed an Autotech tune from Evolve, which turned an ok-ish wagon (performance wise) to a quite sprightly wagon, WITHOUT affecting fuel consumption - that is, unless I am heavy footed and exploit every ounce of the substantially improved power and torque on an ongoing basis. In fact, I believe that on the open road my fuel consumption had actually improved since I had installed the Autotech ECU upgrade.

OK so here is my question: What is the experience regarding fuel consumption of those owners of a XC60 3.0T who had installed the Polestar tune?

I finally got mine done... and although its only been a month, I've put about 500 miles on it. Mileage seems about the same. I was going to say its seems better in manual mode, but I realized that I'm only in manual mode on the the highway. I'm going on Roadtrip next week (1600 miles round trip) so I'll be paying more attention then.

Thanks Idlemind. Look forward to your next post ... On the surface, your initial experience mirrors mine with my XC70. How do you enjoy the greater power and torque?
