    Default Leaving the battery unplugged

Hi, does anyone know what happens (can it cause damage) if you leave the car battery unplugged for a couple of days? Will I have to take it in to the dealer to get everything reprogrammed after I plug it back in?

Thanks in advance for any help!

    Are you unplugging both terminals?
I would note the battery amp before unplugging.

I've never had a problem with it as long as I followed the proper sequence and then started working on it, i.e. a weekend projects, installed the cables and then all was right.

Hi, never had a problem, but for newer cars I read the procedure:
    - connect first the positive then the negative
    - have ign.key in pos.II when connecting as the car is thus able to find
all computers around when coming to life.
