Question Resetting the Service Reminder but getting a 045 code number

I am trying to reset the Time for Service message to no avail, however, while attempting to reset it, and after the beep sounds goes off, I get a 045 code number? I keep reading about having something to do with the turbo solenoid. Experts, what is this number for. The check engine light is not on, and car performs well. What does the 045 mean?

    Thanks.

I am replying to this message as I just changed my oil and in trying to reset the message minder (which I can't seem to do) am getting the "045" error immediately following the reset proceedure.

    Bueller? Bueller? Anyone? Anyone?

Can the error code be an error itself?
Aren't error codes made up of a letter (eg. P) followed by 3 digits?

Had the same problem, I read hundreds of threads about it. Timing was important, they said. I tried everything possible, nothing. After pressing the button long time, I also got 045, which I think means nothing, or maybe something to the programmers at Volvo. But when I started to try to reset the service reminder, I zeroed my trip 1 accidentally (important, you must be at Trip 1). People are saying that if you have zero on your trip, you should hold the button more then 10 sec, and let go before 14 sec. Didn't work for me.

Volvo's instruction says something cryptic about the "original value must show" or something like that. What the heck does that mean????? So I found this guy saying that it means that the trip 1 value for instance: 25 miles, should come back, and then you release the button. That made sense. So now I was thinking maybe I need some miles on my trip for it to work.

So I drove to work, got 15 miles on trip 1. Shut of engine, put key in position 1, pushed trip button, and in 2 seconds turned it to position 2 (ignition), the trip went from 15 to 0 then back to 15, I immediately released the trip button when I saw 15 again, then turned
ignition off, and Voila! No more message. What a happy day, after fighting with this for 3 days.

Please let me know of any success. Maybe you need a Chronograph, to be able to be exactly at 11, 12, or 13 seconds, I tried to count 1001, 1002, 1003, but as I said, never worked for me. If anyone feels like trying to let go of the knob at exactly 12 seconds, if you have zeroed the trip, that could be interesting?

Forgot that 045 should mean some type of turbo problem, its not a fault code.
