All that's left of our 98XC which was traded in for our new Tacoma 4X4. The XC is now probably either in or on its way to one of the 'stans to become a taxi.

You may recall it burned a valve back in July. My wife threatened to set it on fire if I put any more money into it so it was time to move on..but it was a great ride, over 7 years and 110K for us, final mileage was a little over 216K. Except for the burnt valve, it still was very solid to the end.

The head is the original one that was removed after the timing belt tensioner grenaded at 150K. Just the head, valves (some bent) and springs, cams were either transplanted onto the replacement head or kept by the shop that did the repair.

The driveshaft was removed last year due to a worn out center carrier bearing. The front CV joint is pretty well cooked, free to someone who can use it for a core.

Pick up only in Stonington, CT. If no takers they are headed to the scrap yard.

So long and thanks for all the fish to all on the forum who have helped me over the years keeping the 98 rolling! God bless you all.
