Default Black/Charcoal Interior Radio, Cubby, Climate Control Touch-Up...

Anyone ever come across a product that is a good match for touching up or restoring the paint/coating on the radio/cubby/CCM? The previous owner of my XC did not treat this area of the car very delicately- almost all the paint on the cubby is worn off, a few scuffs on the radio and CCM face. Looks pretty crappy. Frankly, I'm pretty surprised at how easily it flakes off. I'd love to at least repaint the cubby and fill 2 deep gashes on the radio.

Nothing will really work (well) on the radio, everything will look "touched up".

As for the cubbyhole itself, you're probably better off either buying a new (or a good used one), they're very cheap.
    01-04 they're very easy to remove, (05-07 it's more of a PIA).

If the sides of the center console are all scratched up, that piece can be painted and if prepped and masked off properly, can look as good as new

Meh. That's kinda what I figured. Bought a used cubby on eBay that was supposedly in "great" condition. It was not. Thought I might try my hand at restoration. But, yeah probably better off buying a whole new HU and Cubby. Not sure if it really bugs me enough- Yet.

BTW- I already totally reconditioned my center console (quite proud of it). I suspect the previous owner had some sort of lap dog. You know how these projects spread like cancer, though.
