Exclamation driver's seat automatically moves to front!

Weird event recently. On a cold morning, I opened the car door of my 2002 Volvo XC-70 (using usual fob to unlock) and the driver's seat automatically moved itself all the way to the front and all the way UP, with the back of the seat tilting all the way forward. WTF?! Manual adjusting controls wouldn't work--it was stuck. I waited a while 'til the day warmed up, and discovered the manual controls worked again. This has occurred once or twice since, but has recently stopped, and all seems well again--but the weather hasn't been as cold yet.

    I promise I'm not kdding--this really happened.

I am looking forward to being crushed between the wheel and the driver's seat by my newly-self-aware-but-clearly evil XC-70, when I least expect it--perhaps during the next cold snap. Dealer says he's never heard of this happening. YOU??

It returns to its memory setting if it had been moved without it being reset.

Never had one apart, But seems like the contacts in the switch are getting either gummed up or coroded. The cold weather might play a role in making them work harder. Just something easy to look at.
