Just recently found a pair of Volvo crossbars (made by Thule) on craigslist. Seller says they are for the 98-2000 XC model. I own a 2002 xc70 and am wondering if anyone knows whether they will fit the factory side rails. The seller wasn't sure. Anyone know for sure or know who to check with?

Go to etrailer.com and search both cars, should give you part numbers, then youll know if they match. I think the side rails on the older cars (P1) were wider (farther apart). The Volvo rails I just got are just wide enough to fit our 02XC.

Anyone know if there is a width difference between the siderails of each model? I'm not having much luck finding this info.
