    Lex,

I'll look at them again to make sure, but as I recall the lower ball/socket failed. There was noticeable slop in the joint causing a rattle at every bump. I'm pretty sure it was the lower, but I'll double check.

Just go with the one from fcp. I did mine about a thousand miles ago and it's still as solid as Ben I first installed it. if it lasted this long on RI roads then ur good for 10k miles on any other road

I just bought two from FCP for less than 50 for the pair. I will see how they hold up and report back!

My original links started making noise at 2 years ago at 82k miles. I put on the cheap ones from FCP and they just started making noise last week at 118k miles.

So, about half the life of the OEM parts at 1/4 the cost. I'm faced with several repairs right now, so I'll probably go with the cheap ones again, but otherwise I might spring for the OEM set this time, in order to get me to my anticipated 200k mile replacement point.

Did you get the Heavy Duty ones?

So far mine have gone about 40,000 km's. The HD versions seam much better than the volvo oem's

No - just the regular ones. Actually putting them on right now - looking for a torque spec.
