Question Imported post

It has arrived:

2004 XC70 D5 Geartronic Mistral Green Metalic/Oak leather.
(Platinum/taupe)

Front Skidplate
Bi-Xenon
Fuel driven engine/cabin heater with timer
DTSC
El. Childlock
Volvo Alarm
HU-803 4x75Wats with 9 Premium speakers
Cup holders everywhere
40/20/40 2nd row with child boosters both sides
Nokian Hakapelitta Q for winter on Tellus rims
Pirelli STR standard on Xenia for summer
Volvo detachable hitch
El. adjustable heated sidemirrors
Profiled Crossbars *to carry skies, bicycle etc.

And the great smell of a new car and empty bankaccount

Nice and comfortable to drive, but definitely not a sportscar. (We bought it to be a family car anyway) Already experienced hesitation when you want to jump into a roundabout. I guess I have to find a way around that like using manual shift?
I see what people talk about with the Bi-Xenon lights. Have to have some more miles on it first to judge. It shure is brighter than my old halogen's.

Can't wait until tomorrow when we will go on our first long drive.

Thumbs up Imported post

Congrats!

Visst är det härligt med ny bil!

Nice spec!

Now after owning the car for a week I agree what people talk about with the Bi-Xenon lights. I´m planning to adjust them little higher as someone has described here.

I think the car is very steady on snowy tracs.

Cheers

I haven't used this forum for quite some time now and I thought I would update. We have 30K on our '02 Ocean Race and still in love with this car. About to have the Pirelli's used up and am getting a set of 17" Amalthea's and 235/55/17 Kumho's. Will post those pics when they are installed.

Great, now it works, here's another

That's Grandfather Mountain in North Carolina in the background.

Just got my new 2004 XC70.
Black exterior, beige/sand leather interior.
Premium package
Touring package
Integrated booster seats
Bi-xenon headlights
Geartronic

I love it! I've had it one day, and already received compliments from several strangers about how cool it is. Most people down here in Dallas don't even know what it is!

Firstly a warm welcome Rails

And secondly I think we will have to start removing all tell tale signs of what we are driving as the local folks are finding out and snapping them up. I have 5 new XC's in my area in the last two months so the fun has gone out of driving around in a 'special' car, luckly none of them have a LAVA color scheme yet so on that score I am still a little unique.

Wow, things are sure different up here in CT. I think if the state ever had an "official car" like it does for birds or trees it would have to be the Volvo and the most popular Volvo is the V70 Wagon (in all it's various versions including the XC). In the town I live in the joke is that you have to own a Volvo and a yellow Labrador retreiver in order to be allowed to move in!! (I have the first but not the second....the town fathers must have been asleep that day&#33 I sure love the Volvo, but it's not a "unique" car by any stretch up here in Yankee country.
