XC Roll Call!

We'll I've admired them for years but they are few and far between here in Prince Edward Island. I conviced my wife it would be a great car for her and I'd keep my old truck and replace her Mazda tribute. Went on line and found what I figured was a good deal in Montreal through a used car dealer. I bought it sight unseen. Flew to Montreal and picked the car up on the weekend.

The "in service date" was August 31, 2004 and it has 90,500 KMs.

The car seems to be loaded, power everything heated leather seats, power moon roof .... I stil don't know all its features.

I drove home from Montreal yesterday, the cars is without doubt the nicest handling car I have ever driven. Seats were amazingly comfortable on a ten hour drive where I only made two quick pit stops.

A couple projects will be to get an auto start installed for cold winter days and get the XM satellite radio installed. I'm a little nervous about both as I've heard Volvo electronics are complex and after maket add ons can cause problems. I'm going to have to find a competent electronics installer.

PS my wife fell in love with it as soon as she saw it. I don't know how I'm ever goiong to get to drive it again.

'04 XC70 2.5T AWD I just got the wagon a month ago and I already put 5,000kms on it. So far im lovin' this car, smooth, fast and with my new 12' sony exlode and 600w amp it sounds ok. I ordered a set of H.I.D.s for it this week and I'm looking for some where I can get some good quality 2.5% tint. If anyone knows where I can find some plz let me know. I'll post some pics of the car soon!

One more XC, from Brazil. I did a small presentation in the wrong section. Really cool to find that forum, plenty of information.

Mine is a 01' model bought in Sao Paulo. It's in good state with 60.000 kms. The car comes with leather, roof window (unworking as armored), alarm and trailor hitch. Particularity, it's armored. All the windows are 21mm AGP, and the full body is reinforced with special fibers to spot gun's projectiles. Wasn't looking for an armored one, but mostly all are in Sao Paulo. We just moved from France to Brazil 3 months ago, in the state of Santa Catarina. Peacefull place to live plenty of beaches. We're in Balneario Camboriu. I bought the Volvo, as I always wanted to have one, and to me it's the perfect family car. I'm the proud father of two cutty girls.
I'm new to Volvo world, coming from the japanese side. I own to a Lexus IS 300 Sport Cross in Paris. And before I owned an IS200. The Volvo is a rough one compared to the smooth IS. The XC to pass everywhere, and the IS to get sporty. The roads in Brasil are terribly bad...

So atm the car has:
- Xenon 6000K lights
- Led front position lights
- Garmin Nuvï 250 with the Brazilean map
- Laser superwide radar detector
- and the usual family business, Recaro child seat, Babyrelax child seat.
- Personalised plate number (check the picture

)

To come :
- Improving the suspension, if I can locate the Jurid coil spacers
- Just a few dents to eliminate in the doors.
- Black Isofilm

Is it just me or are 2004s really popular?

I picked mine up in late October and I love it.

Ash Gold exterior
Tan and Chocolate brown leather interior (I love the stitching!)

It's got just under 95 000 km and pulls nice and hard (love that 5-cylinder torque and sound)

i have had my 2003 Volvo XC70 for about 3 months, it has leather, homelink, moon/sun roof, courtsey lights, grocery rack, rear floor mat, and it has 70k miles on it. It was a one owner who lived in missouri.

We got a 2004 XC70 early this year with Leather, Xenon H/Lights, home link, all weather mats, cargo tray, tow hitch. With the winter snow fall so far, it is proving to be worthy investment.

Wife drives it more, as I drive the "Old Car" 1994 850 wagon. Got it because of my dog (BoBo) G/ret. We decided to keep the 850 as it is not worth much, so we kept it for me to commute to & from work.

Hi guys - new to the forum. My wife and I just bought our first-ever Volvo last week - a CPO '05 Barents Blue XC70 with climate package, convenience package, and premium package. 60,000 miles and essentially looks brand new. It was a one-owner car that was originally sold and serviced at the dealership we bought it from. Service records indicate that it was serviced precisely on time each 7500 miles with all major service intervals performed, including the 60,000 mile service. It's a beautiful car!

Unfortunately it went into the shop three days after we bought it and has been in the shop for the past 3 days. The day after we got it home, the driver's seat bottom started making a loud clunking noise every time you take a turn with a small but noticeable movement in the seat bottom cushion. Dealer took the seat apart and thought it was the whiplash protection system and replaced those parts. They called me later and told me that it didn't fix the issue and they ordered an entire new seat frame. Parts are supposed to be on Tues. In the meantime, I have a 2002 S80 loaner.

Anybody want to see some XC70s from the Tour de Georgia? I have several from '03 on. First set are early XCs. David Millar (from UK) in yellow jersey.
