    Default intake manifold sequence

    i am replacing the pcv system (oil trap) and doing the timing belt.
    does anyone have the sequence and tork specs for the intake man ?
    also does anyone have some helpful hints ?
    is a tool to lock the cam and crank necessary or is there a work around? please help !!!

    As far as the torquing sequence on the manifold, I did it like all other manifolds... snug tight from middle of manifold going outwards, in this fashion from inside (medial) to outside (lateral) and at the same time using a cross, or star pattern similar to when you torque down your wheels. Make sure you do it this way and do NOT go from outside in. ALWAYS torque to spec and DO NOT use any additional RTV or anything else such as gasket sealer, etc.

    Thermostat housing may or, may not, block the very last bolt on the left side.... it depends in the design of your t-stat housing, some are square (bad), others are round (good). To get around this just loosen the bolt, slide manifold off from that end, and then cut the gasket with tin snips or similar.
