Red face AWD to 4WD conversion?

Hi, I'm new here as I'm hoping someone can help.
I want to buy a family sized car which can tow the caravan but which is also fast (especially after tuning) and sideways fun (on a track day of course). Looks like the V70R AWD might be my option as Evo's, Skylines, Impreza's and the like can't tow!!
Problem is that the AWD is only engaged when needed. How can the drive train be modified to make it permanent 4WD but without causing any transmission wind-up (the Defender I currently drive uses a centre diff to stop this).
I may have to end up getting a RWD car instead but the thought of 4WD seems better for severe weather ad the V70 has loads of boot space.
    Many thanks for any help,
    ATB

    Why is it not possible?

A lot of things are possible even it means some extensive modification is required (which I am happy to take on) and possibly ECU reprogramming.

These cars were never designed to drift...
    On snow and ice? Sure!
    Pavement...Nah.

The engine just doesn't have the snap, It's not gonna break loose.
A guy could build it up to 400-500 HP for a small fortune.
Then the transmission would fail. If you don't blow up the motor first.

The driveline is FWD with the rear axle driven by a viscous coupling.
It engages as soon as there's a differential between the front and rear.
Being totally mechanical and self contained, you can't just "make it" lock up.

    Short story?
    JRL is right.

Fair enough, looks like an M5 or merc E class then, or keep the Defender coz that doesn't get stuck in the snow we'll most likely get this winter!
