    Default Okay to downsize tires?

The tires suggested for my XC90 are 235/60 R 18. I want to get a General Altimax tire (General Grabber is out of stock), but they only go to 225/60 R18.

Sears said they would be concered that it would affect the AWD or speedometer. The diameter is 28.65 versus 29.04 and weight load of 1,764 versus 2,271. Can I downsize to this tire?

I only drive city/highway in southern California, never off road or snow/ice.
    Thanks,
    Brian

Speedo will be off, you will have to use higher RPM to get to the true speed, milage
will be lower. It isnt a hugh difference...

BUT the weight rating is kinda low, and the wear rating isnt that good. I think the XC90
would be too much of a vehicle for that tire. xc90 is very heavy.
