    Default car won't start

    hello,
I have been searching for an answer but I haven't found one .
I am stuck at a friends house as I am writing this. I stick the key but can only turn it to 1st position. dash lights up, blower fan works, steering wheel turns (unlocks & locks ) but car won't start and when I push on the brake pedal I can't get it out of park to try neutral start? neutral safety switch maybe? just guessing
I will keep searching for posts but I don't know what to search for?
Thanks in advance. It is getting dark in northeast pa too at the moment. haha sigh

I was wrong. seems to be the tumbler not advancing past 1st position. tried thumping the column to no avail.

Search my posts from late July - buy a $4 spray can of LockEze graphite at your closest hardware / auto parts store.

Pry open the ignition 'jaws' with a thin blade or pick and stick the red spray straw inside.

Give a few good bursts of the lube and cycle the key back and forth, repeat as needed.

Mine has been fine for 6 months now; stealership wants $700+ for new ignition parts.

Feel free to send commission to me via Paypal!
