In my experience tire shops frequently grossly over torque lug nuts/bolts. When I have to rely on a tire shop as soon as I get home I loosen the bolts, put anti-seize on the threads and use my trusty torque wrench to properly torque them.
In your present situation I would get the proper size six point socket made for an impact gun, a non-ratcheting breaker bar and some form of extension for the breaker bar e.g. a long length of pipe and go at it. Use anti-seize on the threads and a torque wrench when putting the tires on.
