Installed new swaybar end links and subframe bushing inserts in my quest to eliminate all front end pops, bonks, squeaks and cruchiness.
Replaced the AC clutch bearing to fix an engine whine that has bugged me for the last couple of years. Really quiet now!!
Cheers,
Bill

And other Volvos and misc. Euro stuff
I got a Hilton stage 1 tune. I'm loving the new found power.
I spent Saturday replacing the control arms, ball joints, and outer tie rods as they had never been done on this car.
Next up, transmission drain/fill (maybe gibbons?) and off to a shop to do the timing belt kit and water pump!
Sunday I replaced both headlight ballasts, thinking they were on their way out. "Not so!" said the left headlight... It still takes some coaxing to come on. Switch? Fuses? Relay? Also I broke the brake booster 3-way valve thing right on front of the airbox. I like breaking other things when I try and fix things. -_-
Drain and fill the transmission with Toyota T-IV (~2.6L). Engine Oil and Filter change last week.
Replaced the front struts with the Sachs quick strut from IPD, new nuts and bolts to go with it. Car looks like it had the original struts, but with a newer set of springs. Did not handle great
Noticed the car is still leaking a bit from the drain plugs on the trans and oil pan. Will address that a the next oil change.
I spent last weekend replacing the right side CV shaft assembly, control arms, ball joints, inner/outer tie rods and a cheap pair of quick struts up front. I had already done sway bar end links and sub-frame bushing inserts. Now I'll turn to other front end/suspension rehab.
So nice to no longer have a sloppy front end!
Oil and filter change. Still have the magnefine filters sitting in my office, I should install one of those in the trans return line at some point...
