haha, UK ..... yes a slight overkill at the moment but MOT is due in 2 weeks and needs tyres, so putting the winter ones on early to get through the test. think this will be the last winter they will see so may as well get my moneys worth out of them

Had the passenger side axle seals on the angle gear replaced, as well as the fuel door hinge.

Rear shocks, springs, parking brakes, rotors, and pads after which I swapped out the brake fluid using my Motive bleeder for the first time.

I also picked up these 18" pegs. I put them on just to see how goofy they look with the stock-sized tires. Now I need to figure out what size tire to get for next summer to lessen the gap. Unless I finally pick up a VR that is. They have some rash that I'm going to refurbish over the winter.

    Rats!

Wish you had asked....same issue on my XC, but the used pump from Erie Vovo was $65 on eBay...three years later, still working well...and not leaking....

2007 XC70, Willow Green Metallic, with Oak (B980) interior. Changed the oil for the first time since purchase in Spokane, WA on 8/11/2015, 93,980 miles. Castrol Syntec 5w-30 with Mann filter, changed low beams out since one failed. Had to have independent shop here, Hurless Brothers, do the passenger side since a tab was bent by someone in the past that did not allow the old bulb to be removed, to the tune of $146 ($138 in labor to remove front bumper and headlight bucket), and 4 running lights at the same time. Love the car, this is my 4th Volvo wagon. Previous were 1967 122S, 1986 740T (deer strike total), and 1996 850 GLT with bad headgasket.

did you come across any challenges with this? I have mine to do, I found an old-school company in the east midlands that only refurbish axel's/driveshafts/Propshafts they will fully refurbish them for £130.00. once its pulled out they will collect refurbish and return on day 3.

    Default Transmission fluid

Hi all. I'm a newbie here from Melbourne (not Florida) with a 2002 V70 XC with 169k kms which I bought about 3 weeks ago. This weekend I will do a flush of the transmission fluid - BIG thank you to this great forum for that excellent advice (amongst all the other great advice). In return, I just want to let fellow victorians know that 'Southern Cross Lubes' in Altona sold me 20 litres of Mobil 3309 for $200. It comes in a 20 litre drum. I wasn't able to find it anywhere else.
...wish me luck with the flush....
...and with the fuel door motor repair/replacement.....

Replaced RF ball joint. Wasn't too bad of a job. Removed hub carrier and placed in on an inverted 5 gal bucket to pound out the old and pound in the new. I tried the 2" exhaust adapter trick but that didn't work too well. Ultimately used more strategic hits on a small piece of wood. To drive it the final 1/4" I threaded and snugged the bolts in place and pounded the "ears" using a 22mm impact socket over the 18mm bolts. If you've done/are doing this job, it will make sense. Took about 3hrs, start to finish, with a lot of figuring out what to do next along the way. Next time I'm sure I can do it in under 2.
