The 2006 stands out as an island in a sea of mediocrity. Any chance it's an anomoly, or is ther something about that MY that suggests better reliabilty?

A high repair frequency is worse, not better. You want low.

The stat for the 2006 is essentially the same as those for the 2004 and 2005. The average is just a little lower for the more recent model years, so in relative terms it is slightly worse than those years.

Got it - quickly scanned "reliability stats" and thus higher seemed "better".

Curious about the 2004 numbers you mention. Why is that year "moderate" with 98 repair trips / 100 cars, while 2006 is "high" with 96?
