Curious about the 2004 numbers you mention. Why is that year "moderate" with 98 repair trips / 100 cars, while 2006 is "high" with 96?
The average is higher for older cars. On the site there's an eleven-point scale that's more granular than just low/moderate/high.

We've updated our reliability stats for the XC70 to include owner experiences through the end of 2015, about eight months ahead of other sources.

In terms of repair trips per 100 cars per year--lower is better:

    2010 XC70: 55, moderate
    2009 XC70: 55, moderate, small sample size
    2008 XC70: 45, low

We have two additional statistics, "Nada-odds" and "Lemon-odds", to indicate the percentage of cars with no repairs in the past year and those that required 3+ trips to the repair shop:

    2010 XC70: 67, < 1
    2008 XC70: 63, 3

No stat, or a small sample size? Then we especially need more owners involved for that model year.
